Amazon is to create over 2,000 new full-time positions in Germany by the end of the year bringing the number of Amazon Germany employees to 16,500. The new positions are open to people with different qualifications and professional experience - from engineers to software developers to job starters and trainees. Many of the new jobs are emerging in the newly announced Fulfillment Centres as well as in Amazon’s offices and Development Centres.

These new jobs in Germany are part of more than 15,000 full-time jobs to be created throughout Europe in 2017 - a new recruitment record for Amazon within one year. Amazon has more than 100 offices in Europe, including Fulfilment Centres, Sales and Customer Service centers, AWS data centers and a European network of 15 Research and Development departments. These include the development of innovations for various areas of the company, such as web pages, apps, digital media, devices, software (such as voice recognition technologies), Prime Air and Cloud services.

"With innovative services such as Prime Now’s one hour delivery, Alexa voice recognition, and cloud solutions for business partners, Amazon offers exciting new jobs for people with different skills and professional experiences such as logistical experts, linguists, software developers or apprentices, "says Ralf Kleber, Country Manager Amazon.de. In addition to positions in the company, more and more German companies, craftsmen and start-ups are using Amazon Marketplace to make their business successful worldwide. The export turnover of German traders, who use Amazon Marketplace, amounted to almost €2 billion last year.
