Amazon is committed, alongside the ELLE Foundation, to supporting the ELLE Solidarité Mode competition, which provides talented young women – who may not otherwise have the resources – the chance to pursue higher education in fashion. Amazon hopes to help winners of the ELLE Solidarité Mode competition to launch their careers.

The winners of the 2015 edition of the competition are Aline, Sara and Maeva. They are aged between 18 and 22 and have always dreamed of devoting themselves to careers in the fashion industry. They are now closer than ever to making their dreams come true. Chosen from 250 candidates, the winners showcased their talent by transforming a basic white t-shirt into a sailor-inspired creation that won over the jury, chaired this year by Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 2016, for the second year of partnership with Elle, competition winners Awa, Ornella, and Solènewere were selected for the prize. The three demonstrated their talent by transforming a piece of basic denim into a creation that wowed the jury, chaired this year by designer Vanessa Seward. "Today we have the chance to join a school to get a diploma and also a job we love." said Awa.

Created in 2004, this annual competition allows the winners to further develop their talent and creativity in the fashion world at three major French schools that are renowned in the profession. Over the last 11 years, 30 young women have been able to attend Esmod, the Ecole de la chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne and the Studio Berçot.

For three years, Amazon will cover the living expenses of the winners of each class, publish the competition on the Amazon.fr website to ensure visibility of the contest and participate in the selection of winners, with some team members from Amazon Fashion joining the jury.
